ACCREDITATIONS

International

In order to achieve these objectives, we rely on a complex and high-quality organizational structure, as well as a pedagogical model based on creativity and on the educational guidelines of the government of Colombia. Supported, among others, by the approval resolution No. 110215 of 2014, our model has been accredited by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) in both the Primary (Cambridge International Primary Program) and Secondary (Lower Secondary Program) levels since January of 2010; meanwhile, the latter (grades 10th and 11th) has been granted the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world's largest provider of international education programs, implemented in more than 160 countries and recognized by universities, education providers, and employers alike around the world. Moreover, CIE is part of one of the best universities across the globe—recognized for its excellence in education—and in consequence its mission is to provide education of global and international stature through the implementation of study plans, assessment, and other services. Thus, expanding access to the benefits of a high-quality education, its development and qualification programs result in success in learning and in support for the economic performance of the countries in which it operates.

Additionally, our institution adheres to the ISO 9001 QMS; and AdvancED certified it for the first time on June 30, 2010 (recertification issued on June 30, 2015).

AdvancED reunites and organizes under its umbrella the Southern Association of Colleges and School Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), and also the National Study of School Evaluation (NSSE). In turn, it is the largest organization in the world in the field of accreditation of educational institutions, representing 2,700 private and public schools within the United States and in 65 countries. Similarly, we are active members of the Latin American Heads Conference (LAHC), which brings together many British schools in Latin America.

The following partnerships between our school and higher education institutions are currently in place:

• Alliance with the Pontifical Xavierian University, on account of our international education program’s endorsement by the University of Cambridge.

• Alliance with the Pontifical Xavierian University, in terms of interlibrary loan.

• Recognized by several institutions nationwide due to our Cambridge CIE certificate.

• Confucius Classroom.

Cognia

Cognia is the largest community of education professionals in the world. It is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that conducts rigorous external reviews of on-site school systems to ensure that all students reach their full potential. Notwithstanding their hundred-year school accreditation expertise, Cognia is far from a typical accreditation agency: its goal is not to certify that schools are good enough, but rather help schools improve.

Combining the knowledge and experience of a research institute, the skills of a management consulting firm, and the passion of a movement for educational change, Cognia serves as a trusted partner to 32,000 schools and school systems, employing more than four million educators and enrolling more than 20 million students in the United States and 70 other nations.

AdvancED and Measured Progress are now Cognia. We’re a global network of educators providing improvement services for 36,000+ schools.
